So...I should apologize to anyone reading this now while I am thinking about it - the editing on my blog thus far has been pretty weak. Sorry about that. I would say that I will try to do better, but I would imagine the morphine I will be injected with post surgery over the next day or two will only make this editing problem worse. I would just ask that you please bear with me on that front.
This evening was the final consult with my surgeon, Dr. Rajakumar. He is an awesome guy. He speaks like the veterean neurosurgeon he is, but also a professor of philosophy. He reviewed all of the risk of the surgery, which are apparently infinite. The most notable ones, of course, are death and paralysis. Both of those risk are incredibly remote, with paralysis being the most likely of the two to occur, with about a 1 in 600 chance of happening. As a regular poker player, I like them odds. He addressed both Kei and I in a very personal manner, and made us both very comfortable with the whole thing.
By the way, the food has been awesome here so far. We have been eating Indian for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and so far it has been excellent. Will post some pics of that and everything else once we get the wireless set up, which is supposed to be tomorrow.
I will go in for surgery tomorrow at around 7:30 am. Assuming everything works out as planned, I will post a blog as soon as I am coherent and mobile enough.
